July 2010...

Thank you everyone who made our wedding and receptions extra special! We loved both events and really enjoyed ourselves. March 2010...

Thanks everyone for your encouragement and prayers! We've set the wedding date as Saturday, June 12th, 2010 at 2:00 pm in Springfield, Illinois.

There will be a reception dinner in Bakersfield, California onSaturday, June 19th, 2010 at 6:00 pm. The address is on the wedding details page.

We've been preparing for our marriage by being counselled by a couple from our church, as well as going through a marriage DVD series from Paul Tripp, a financial book by Larry Burkett, and another helpful book from Dr. Ed Wheat. As our pastor Rick Holland mentioned, his prayer was for an engaged couple to focus on preparing for their marriage; not just their wedding day. We count ourselves extremely blessed by God's grace to have people placed in our lives that help us strive for maturity in our dating relationship, in our marriage, as Christians, and hopefully as examples to those around us--of not what we accomplish but what God can do through us. Of course It's going to take a lot of effort on both of our parts, but we're very excited!
